Raise your glasses and toast! Wednesday evenings at Performance Plus have turned into party central, with week after week of celebrations for our students who have done a remarkable job this year.
Wahoo! Beth Texiera had a terrific weekend at the lab specialty in Westford MA with her Labrador Retrievers. Not only did she do a stellar job with Emma, earning her CD title and first place (all qualifying legs were first placements), she also took High in Trial with Leah in Open B on June 17th! In fact, Emma was in a run off with Leah for High in Trial, but age and experience prevailed. Beth is the proud recipient of a beautiful traveling trophy with Leah listed as the first dog to earn this impressive trophy. Congratulations to owner-handler Beth, Willcare's Princess Macgregor UD NA (Leah), and Macgregor's Blond Moment CD (Emma)!
Shirley Cardello and Emmy also had a good weekend at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston's specialty held in Westford MA. Emmy took 4th place in rally on Thursday June 17th and Friday June 18th, earning her Rally Advanced title! Congratulations to Shirley and Danbridge Katherine's Emmy Award CDX RA!
Sue LeVasseur and Correy have done it again 3 days in a row! On Saturday June 12th Corey earned a Rally Advanced title with a second place finish at the South County KC in Exeter RI. The next day, Sue and Corey took first place in their agility run, earning their Novice Standard title at the Southern Berkshire Golden Retriever Club in South Glastonbury CT. On Monday, at the Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club agility trial in Amherst NH, Corey took first place again, earning her Excellent Jumpers with Weaves title and also took first place, earning her first leg in Open Standard. To top it off, Sue earned Corey's breed champion title recently at her Airedale Regional Specialty. Wow! Correy is now known as CH Stirling Blackstone Esprit Du Coeur RA NA AXJ.
Sue Bally and her Golden Retriever Molly won first place in Novice A at their debut into competition at the YGRC trial held outdoors in Wrentham MA on Friday June 4th under judge Janet Lewis. Congratulations on a great start!
Congratulations to Carolyn Goudreau and Gunther who earned 2nd place in Open B at the YGRC trial in Wrentham MA on Friday June 4th under judge Elizabeth Chase. Outstanding handling by Carolyn and an animated, happy performance by Gunther in spite hot weather made this team a delight to watch.
Lauren O'Flaherty and Gemma received their first Rally Advanced leg at the YGRC trial in Wrentham MA on Friday June 4th, earning a score of 98 and second place. Go Lauren and Gemma!
Judith Graves and her Alaskan Malamute Pooka earned their UD with a great score of 191 1/2 and an animated, attentive performance that awarded them a 3rd place ribbon on Saturday May 8th in Franklin MA. Congratulations! Pooka is now known as K'Noot's Crystal Pookabue UD! You both worked very hard for this day - celebrate!
Congratulations go out to Darlene Hunt and her Papillon Fabulous, who earned their MX taking second place at the American Lhasa Apso Club agility trial on April 10th in Amherst NH. Fab is not quite 2 years old and has already accrued several double Qs along the way. From Darlene: "Thank you Paulette, this is for you!"
Congratulations go out to Joyce O'Connor and Bailey, also known as UCD C-Brook's Hit The Lottery UD RE CGC, who finished their UD title at the NEDTC trial on April 3rd under judge Susan Des Cotes from Canada with a score of 189 1/2, placing second. Bailey's first 2 legs were earned October 31st 2009 at the Baystate American Bullmastiff Club, placing second, and at the Concord DTC trial on November 14th 2009, placing fourth under judge Terri Clingerman from New York. Joyce looks forward to finishing Bailey's one remaining UKC CDX leg for his title and working towards a novice agility title, and perhaps even a UDX! Keep up the great work!

Huge congratulations go out to Cindy Fields and her Australian Shepherd Trax for their many great achievements at the Australian Shepherd Club of America trial hosted by the Australian Shepherd Club of New England in Taunton MA. Here are the details of their terrific weekend: On Saturday March 20th under Judge James Ashton, Cindy and Trax scored 197 taking first place, High in Trial, and Highest Scoring Australian Shepherd in Trial! On Sunday March 21st under Judge Denise LaCrois, they earned a PERFECT 200, first place, High in Trial, and Highest Scoring Australian Shepherd in Trial! Trax is also known as Propwash Positraction CDX AX AXJ and now ASCA CD!

Joyce Philbrook reports an exciting win for Harley, her 6 month and 1 day old Havanese, who took BOW under judge Mr. James Frederikson at the Windham County Kennel Club show in W. Springfield with a 4 point major! This was only Harley's second show, and owner handled! Congratulations to Joyce and Harley--great job, both of you!
On Friday December 4th, Sue LeVasseur's Airedale 'Corey' went Winners Bitch with a 3 point major at the Ladies Dog Club show at the Bay Colony Cluster in Providence RI, and on Saturday and Sunday at the Eastern Dog Club show, Corey was Reserve Major. Sue is well on her way to another well-balanced Airedale with titles at both ends! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Carolyn Goudreau and her Golden Retriever, Gunther for earning their Companion Dog Excellent title from the Open B class under Judge David Maurer at Souhegan Kennel Club's trial held in Amhest, NH on October 10th. Carolyn and Gunther had a beautiful run earning a score of 196 and coming in 5th out of a class of 22. Their CDX title was achieved with an average score of 194...not too shabby. Allison Vicuna reports that her Boxer, Molly, earned her first leg in the Novice B class under judge Nancy Withers at the American Boxer Club Regional Specialty in Maryland on October 9, 2009. Molly was 'awesome'! She performed with great attitude and attention despite tough outdoor conditions, including the wind blowing a flower pot off a nearby table during her heel free exercize! Congratulations Allison and Molly! To top off the great week, Allison's young Boxer, Izzy, finished her Rally novice title!
